John Brennan
John Brennan is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Collingswood, NJ which is right across the bridge from Philadelphia, PA. He first got into the blues after discovering that blues artists such as Muddy Waters, B.B. King, T-Bone Walker, and many others were the inspiration for many of his favorite rock artists.
He specializes in slide guitar. He started playing slide after hearing Elmore James’ “Dust My Broom” and cites James as one of his main influences along with other slide guitar players such as Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, and Duane Allman.
He performs regularly at various venues throughout the NJ/PA/DE Tri-state area including bars, breweries, wineries, restaurants, farmers markets, and music venues. He plays a variety of styles in the blues genre including acoustic delta blues, electric Chicago blues, west coast blues, blues-rock, and rockabilly while keeping the music true to its roots.
